History
The Muslim Corpers’ Association of Nigeria (MCAN) was established during the 1978/1979 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) service year. Its formation was driven by the need to provide a unified platform for Muslim graduates participating in the NYSC program to collectively fulfill their Islamic responsibilities and foster community among themselves.
-
Activities
MCAN organizes various programs aligned with the NYSC schedule, including pre-orientation, orientation, and post-orientation activities, to ensure members can fully participate in national service while contributing to personal and community development.
-
Location
MCAN's national headquarters is located in the Mabushi district of Abuja, and the association has branches across all 36 states of Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory. It was officially registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in 1994.
